When it comes to using diapers for babies it can be daunting for parents to think whether diapers are actually good or bad for their new born. The other question that strikes modern mothers would be the use of traditional cloth nappies over modern disposable diapers. Which one of the two would be convenient and safe? Many parents still prefer cloth nappies over disposable diapers in terms of skin safety. Cloth does a great job as long as you change your baby’s nappy soon after it is dirtied. On the other hand, disposables can hold large amounts of fluids without causing much discomfort for the baby.

We are going to list out some Pros and Cons of using Disposable Diapers. So here they are!

#1. Modern diapers are convenient

Modern disposable diapers are said to be easily available. They can be purchased from any specialty stores, or are available online as well. The word “disposable” makes it more convenient in terms of being thrown away after they have been used.

#2. Spend less time on changing

Disposable diapers are easy to change in a small amount of time. This seems like a more practical option as compared to cloth nappies; pretty much everyone knows how to use them.

#3. Easy to carry & efficient

Modern diapers are easy to carry as they come in ergonomic shapes and packaging. This becomes easier for parents to carry them around. In terms of purpose, it is quite efficient in handling large amounts of fluids due to modern absorbent gels.

Well those were the Pros, let’s talk about the Cons!

#4. Can cause skin rashes

Skin rashes can wind up on your child’s skin due to prolonged usage of an unclean diaper. This creates an environment for bacteria to breed in and causes the skin to turn red, sore, and irritated. So you need to check your child’s diaper every hour, and change it immediately if it looks soiled. The use of certain chemicals and color dyes can trigger skin allergies and cause the gentle skin of the baby to get irritated.

#5. Impedes toilet training

Toilet training involves communication through the use of body signals between parents and babies. However, the use of diapers for longer periods can make them feel comfortable, and that could impede the toilet training process for your baby.

#6. Can be very expensive

Diapers can be an expensive proposition based on the fact that they need to be replaced at least 6 to 7 times in a day. The pricing on these diapers can vary depending on the type of material and brand. This can be confusing for parents to choose the right brand for their babies.

Choose form a huge collections of Baby diapers, apparel, toys, books, strollers, cradles and more and save with the latest baby products coupons at Wannacoupons.com

In the end-the facts!

In a fast paced world, people do not have the time to use traditional cloth nappies, and thus resort to a simpler solution like disposable diapers. This keeps the parents and the children relaxed at various places and events.

Baby Skin Care Tips

Babies are born with extremely soft and delicate skin. However, special care and attention must be adopted to prevent them from skin issues. The baby’s skin is usually winkled and covered with a creamy white substance called vernix. After a week of birth, these white substances peel off and new glowing skin is formed.

The baby’s skin must be properly handled to avoid disease and rashes. Bathing the baby frequently removes the natural oils which protect the baby’s skin from diseases. Because babies don’t get crazily dirty during the first few months, a sponge bath of 2 or 3 times a week is sufficient. Though, water can be used to wash their armpits and buttocks when necessary.

Apparently, adult creams should not be applied to the baby’s skin. The chemical components in the creams can cause skin irritation, rashes and dryness. Chemically related substance should be kept away from the baby’s skin. In this article, I will explain tips on how to care for baby’s skin.

Moisturising the Skin

Moisturising the skin is an important method of caring for the baby’s skin. To maintain a smooth and healthy skin, only make use of a good and quality moisturiser. This will replenish the lost nutrients which aid skin smoothening and glowing. The moisturiser should be applied three to four times daily.

Wash and Wear

Most towels and clothes used in covering babies after bath are made from chemicals which are harmful to the baby’s skin. Therefore, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) strictly recommend washing new towels and clothing before usage. Also, avoid covering the baby’s body with used cloths, make sure used cloths or towels are thoroughly washed well before usage.

Don’t Use Adult Soap

Applying adult soap on the baby’s skin might cause damages to the skin. It may lead to skin peeling and skin dryness. Instead, you can make a homemade bath pack of raw milk and rose water. Apply the mixture slowly to your baby’s skin and wash it off with lukewarm water. Also, there are specially made baby soaps in the market, they contain less percentage of harmful chemicals which causes damages to the baby’s skin.

Hot Oil Massage

Hot oil massage is a very effective and easy way to enhance the baby’s skin. Soft massage on the skin with hot oil increases the layers of moistures on the baby’s skin. This helps restore the right balance of the oils in the skin cells. Hot oil massage is a sure way to achieve a glowing and shining healthy skin. Olive and almond oil are very good in this regard.

Conclusion

The baby skin is an important and essential part of the baby’s body that contributes to the baby’s well being. Taking proper care of it will enhance the baby’s growth and health. Get new towels and ignore those old new one, get baby moisturiser and baby detergents, and maintain the baby skin nutrients by applying a limited amount of water on daily basis. Adopting the highlighted tips in this article will not only enhance your baby’s skin, but also make them look and grow healthily.

There have been numerous studies done on child development and while the results do vary, there are many important conclusions that have been drawn about the importance of having both parents involved in a child’s life. While circumstances may prevent the ability for every family to have both parents together to raise their child according to the child development experts, it is very important for children to have their dad in their life.

According to many of the study results, it was quite clear that it was really important for a number of reasons why children did much better in life when they had the benefit of having both parents involved in their lives. We put together a list of our top reasons that it is very important to have their dad in their lives.

Top 7 Reasons Why Kids Need Their Dad in Their Life

Children with involved dads are more successful – According to study after study and evaluations by child psychologists, the results seem to point to that both boys and girls seem to grow up to be more successful when their dads remain in their lives. Girls seem to exhibit much higher self-esteem and do much better in school and in their own personal relationships. There is also some thought that young girls who have their dads in their lives are less likely to become pregnant while they are still young. Boys are also far less aggressive, are less likely to be overly impulsive.

Everyday activities with dad – Being able to participate in their’s daily activities have been proven to be hugely beneficial to both young boys and young girls. While it is important for dads to be able to be a big part of their kid’s major events, it is believed to be equally important for a dad to be part of their children’s lives for during the core of their daily activities.

Offers a different parenting style – Generally speaking mom’s and dads have different parenting styles and it is hugely beneficial for a child to get exposure to their dad’s as well as their mom. It is generally accepted that dad’s focus more on encouraging achievement, competition, and independence. While moms tend to focus more on security, collaboration, and equity. The combination helps to ensure that a child is well-rounded during development.

Provides a variety of the types of playing – Playtime is an important time for kids and dads tend to play in a more physical way than mothers do and this can be very difficult to be simulated if the dad is not there. While roughhousing may seem to be unnecessary or excessive to many, but according to developmental experts, it definitely serves a very important function.

Encouraging a stretching their bounds – When comparing parenting styles between moms and dads, you will see more encouragement of risk-taking from a dad. Kids also learn more about stretching out beyond their boundaries and comfort zone when they are with their dad. This is also extremely important to a child growing up.

The sense of protection – Having their dad around gives a child strong sense of security that most women just cannot provide. It is also believed that having a dad around can to some degree help reduce the likelihood of teen pregnancy. Having a strong role model is very important for a male child to mature into a strong adult.

Discipline – In most family unit the man is the disciplinarian and this can be quite difficult to replicate for some women if the dad is not involved in their children’s lives. Dad’s seem to have a knack for leaving emotions at the door when it comes to discipline and mom’s usually have a hard time separating their emotions.

There are so many more reasons why a child really needs their dad in their life and it goes well beyond the clinical studies. Most children just seem much happier and more well-rounded when they are raised by two parents that love them equally.
